Read what The New York Times had to say about our recent off-Broadway production of Gluck’s opera The Reformed Drunkard (L’Ivrogne Corrige) at the wonderful 59E59 Theaters and produced by the little OPERA Theatre of NY. It was a magical little production with some great talents. And I got to “drink” a lot on stage! Kudos to my partner in crime, Anthony Webb!
On Tuesday the strongest impressions were made by Anthony Wright Webb, a nimble tenor, as Mathurin, and Ron Loyd, a robust baritone, as Lucas. Both were agile comedians, manifesting a happy chemistry with each other and with the audience.
